Victory’s Klondyke project area consists of multiple historical workings and mines within a relatively small area. Recorded production at the Klondyke project is from near surface gold bearing quartz veins.
On the north-western edge of the Klondyke West workings, the alignment of the old pits appears to strike 20°. One hundred meters away, at Klondyke, thin mineralised quartz veins seen in costeans 30 m west of the settling pond, also strike 20°.
By inference, the two sets of quartz veins (Klondyke West and Klondyke) may be the same quartz system. Unfortunately, an extensive alluvial blanket, from nearby drainage, is 100m wide, and obscures the critical outcrops. Drilling is required to resolve the matter.
